How can I learn about MossTalk Words quickly?

  1. Read the two non-working illustrated examples below.
    (

  2. Try out the online demos. (Matching Demo, Naming Demo)

  4. Ask for a demo disk of the complete program. (Request Demo)

Multi-Modality Matching Example

  1. Exercise settings are chosen using the dialog window:

    Vocabulary: Animals & Objects, Actions, People
    Match: Written to Picture, Picture to Written, Spoken to Picture, Spoken to Written
    Number of Choices: 2, 3, 4

    Clicking Begin Exercise starts the exercise.

  2. For each target (here, the written word “chair”)

    Clicking the ? (question mark) plays the instructions.
    The user must now click on the choice matching the target.
    Help is available by clicking one of the cue buttons on the left side. When the correct answer is chosen,
    the computer will say “That’s Right.”

  3. Clicking the right arrow button moves to the next target, clicking the left arrow button moves to the previous target.

Cued Naming Example

  1. Exercise settings are chosen using the dialog window:

    Vocabulary: Mixed (Animals, Foods, Objects) or one of the individual categories: Animals, Foods, Objects, Actions, People
    Familiarity: Easy, Hard, Mixed
    Cues: Initial, Fill In, Word, Description (spoken and written)

    Clicking Begin Exercise starts the exercise.

  2. For each target (here, the picture “elephant”)

    Clicking the ? (question mark) plays the instructions.
    The user must now try and name the target.
    Help is available by clicking one of the 8 cue buttons on the left side.
    (For spoken cues, use head icons, for written cues, use letter icons)
    Click the “happy face” to hear the correct answer and record correct response.

  3. Clicking the right arrow button moves to the next target, clicking the left arrow button moves to the previous target.
